Fuad Reveiz
Fuad Reveiz, the former NFL player and Tennessee kicker, serves as a spokesperson for Heart Screens for Teens. Together, Fuad and his wife Gayle actively promote heart screening in East Tennessee at area high schools through Heart Screens for Teens.
Fuad was introduced to Heart Screens for Teens though a screening event that ended up saving his son Shane's life. After receiving an echocardiogram it was discovered that Shane had a tumor in his heart and the early diagnosis saved his life.
"The doctors told us that if Shane had gone three to four more months without knowing the tumor was there that he probably wouldn't be with us today." said Fuad.
After their experience with the screening, provided by Heart Screens for Teens founder Mickey King, Fuad & Gayle decided to become a part of the team.
Mr. Reveiz is an alumni of The University of Tennessee and played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins, the San Diego Chargers, and the Minnesota Vikings. He kicked 188 field goals and 367 extra points in his eleven-year National Football League career and was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1994 season. He resides in Knoxville, Tennessee.
